Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel (Coco Chanel)

A French designer who made mens-wear inspired fashions. She always kept the clothes she designed simple, comfortable, and revealing.She created the Tricot Sailor Frock, Turtleneck sweater, shorter skirts and heels for comfort. In 1920 she asked a perfumer to put together some scents for her spring showings. Coco said, "I am going to show my collection on the fifth day of the fifth month. I'll choose No. 5." Chanel No. 5 became the world's most famous perfume.

Clara Bow

Known as the "It Girl" was famous in the early 1920's for her silent film productions. She played a lot of roles as a Flapper Girl. She always said, "All the time the Flapper is laughing and dancing, there's a feeling of tragedy underneath. She's unhappy and disillusioned, and that's what people sense. That's what makes her different."
Some people knew her as "Flapper-par-excellence" because she played a lot of Flapper roles, and was a very good silent film actress.

Colleen Moore
She is remembered as a Flapper, her depictions of Flappers and the styles were seen as the model that all the other Flappers were based on. Her work and image was very diverse. She was known for her movies, and photos she posed in as a model. In the 1920's she along with many other women were becoming more and more independent everyday. They were moving out of their parents houses, getting jobs, and taking control over their lives. They also became very educated, and Colleen was just one of the many women to do this.
Louise Brooks
 
She was an American dancer, model, showgirl, and silent film actress. She is famous for her fashionable bobbed hair cut, and sassy Flapper style. Her hair cut made her known by almost everyone, and she started a trend that would sweep the nation as every woman and girl's new "do". After so many silent films she wanted to star in some talkies, the studio claimed her voice was not suitable for work in sound pictures.
