Why they were important.

This topic was a very important part of the 1920's. It is when women started being independent, making her own decisions, and becoming her own person. It was very uncommon for a girl/woman to act and dress in such a way that drew attention to herself. Most elders looked down upon it, that women were acting like one of the guys in her own feminine way. Going out to parties, smoking, drinking, and dancing the night away. This behavior was very uncalled for, or was called just a phase the girl was going through, at least thats what the parent thought. Soon enough though almost every teenager, and young woman had bobbed their hair, shortened up their skirts, and started dating and buying their own cars and property. It was the start of a new era, and what would change the way women acted forever.
